What is psychometric compatibility testing?
Psychometric testing uses validated psychological frameworks to measure personality traits, values, behavioural tendencies, and thinking styles. When applied to relationships, it reveals the dynamics that will shape everyday life — how you argue, how you spend money, how you handle in-laws, and what you expect from a shared future.
Unlike personality quizzes or astrology, psychometric assessments are built on decades of relationship science. Our methodology draws on Big Five personality research, Gottman Institute relationship frameworks, and India-specific cultural compatibility dimensions developed with practising relationship counsellors.

The five dimensions that actually predict compatibility
Our assessment covers the nuances that generic Western frameworks miss entirely, tailored specifically for Indian families.
1. Communication Style
Are you direct or indirect? Emotionally expressive or reserved? Do you need space during conflict or do you prefer to resolve it immediately? Mismatches here are the single most common source of friction in Indian marriages — especially when family communication styles differ.
2. Conflict Resolution
How you fight matters more than whether you fight. We assess whether you tend to withdraw, escalate, accommodate, or collaborate — and whether your partner's approach is complementary or likely to create chronic unresolved tension.
3. Financial Alignment
Are you a saver or a spender? Do you believe in joint accounts or financial independence? How do you feel about supporting extended family financially? Financial misalignment is the second most cited cause of marital breakdown in India — we surface it before it becomes a problem.
4. Family Expectations
Boundaries, involvement, and living arrangements. How much say should in-laws have? What does a healthy relationship with extended family look like? Our India-specific questions cover the nuances that generic Western frameworks miss entirely.
5. Life Goals & Values
Career ambition, geographic flexibility, religious practice, parenting philosophy, and long-term vision. Two people can love each other and still be pulling in very different directions. This dimension surfaces those tensions early — when they're easiest to address.
What your report looks like
Your Compatibility Report is a professionally formatted PDF, typically 18–24 pages. It includes:
- An overall Compatibility Score with a plain-English explanation
- Dimension-by-dimension breakdowns with charts
- Your Friction Risk Index (see below)
- Specific conversation starters based on your results
- Actionable guidance — not just diagnosis
The Friction Risk Index
The Friction Risk Index (FRI) is our proprietary scoring model that identifies the five behavioural risk areas most likely to cause long-term friction in Indian marriages. Unlike a simple compatibility percentage, the FRI tells you where the risk sits and how significant it is.
A high FRI score doesn't mean "don't get married." It means "have this conversation before you do." Many couples use their FRI as a structured starting point for pre-marital counselling.
- • Communication Mismatch
- • Conflict Avoidance Risk
- • Financial Friction
- • Family Boundary Tension
- • Goal Divergence

Compatibility Testing — FAQ
Does my partner need to participate?
For the most useful results, yes — both partners completing the assessment independently gives us comparative data. That said, if only one partner participates, we can still provide a single-profile analysis with general compatibility insights.
Is the assessment available in Hindi?
Yes. The full assessment is available in both English and Hindi. We are working on Tamil and Telugu versions — expected by mid-2026.
Can we use the report in pre-marital counselling?
Absolutely. Many therapists and counsellors welcome structured psychometric data. Your report is yours to share with whoever you choose.
What if we disagree with the results?
Results reflect patterns, not verdicts. We offer a free 15-minute review call for any client who wants to discuss their report findings. Results should be a starting point for conversation, not the final word.
