Our approach to Jyotish
Vedic astrology — Jyotish — has guided Indian families for millennia. But not all readings are equal. A quick eight-point Ashtakoot score tells you very little. Experienced astrologers know that the same Guna score can mean entirely different things depending on the specific planetary placements, Doshas, and Dasha periods involved.
At MyTrueMatch, we work only with senior astrologers — practitioners with a minimum of 15 years of active consultation experience, many of whom come from traditional Jyotish families. Their readings are written, structured, and referenced — not verbal impressions that can be misremembered or misrepresented.

Ashtakoot Guna Milan
The traditional 36-point compatibility scoring system covering Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, and Nadi. We explain each category in plain language — not just the total score.
Mangal Dosha Analysis
Whether Mangal Dosha is present, its severity, and whether it is effectively cancelled (Mangal Dosha Nivaran) by specific planetary positions in either chart. We do not give blanket Dosha verdicts — we assess each chart individually.
Nadi Dosha Assessment
Nadi Dosha, when present, is one of the most significant compatibility concerns in traditional Jyotish. We provide a thorough assessment and, where relevant, discuss remedial measures that experienced astrologers consider effective.
Dasha Compatibility
The current and upcoming Mahadasha and Antardasha periods for both individuals, and how they interact. A marriage that begins well but enters difficult Dasha periods within 2–3 years deserves to be known about in advance.
Navamsa Chart Analysis
The Navamsa (D9) chart is the chart of marriage in Vedic astrology. We analyse both Navamsas for compatibility indicators that the birth chart alone cannot reveal.
Remedies & Guidance
Where challenges are found, our astrologers provide specific, practical remedial guidance — puja recommendations, gemstone suggestions (with clear caveats), and timing considerations. We do not recommend expensive remedies or create unnecessary anxiety.

What if we don't have the exact birth time?
We can work with approximate times and will note the uncertainty range in the report. Some techniques (particularly Navamsa analysis) are less reliable without exact times, and we flag this clearly. Rectification consultations to estimate birth time are available at an additional fee.
Will the astrologer advise against the match?
Our astrologers provide honest assessments. If there are significant compatibility challenges, they will say so — along with their view on severity and any relevant remedial options. We do not produce only positive readings.
Is this service for Hindu families only?
Vedic astrology is most commonly used within Hindu tradition, but our consultation service is open to anyone who wishes to use it. We do not provide services for other astrological traditions (e.g. Chinese astrology, Western astrology) at this time.
How is this different from an online Kundali calculator?
Online calculators generate an Ashtakoot score automatically — they cannot assess Dosha nuance, Navamsa compatibility, Dasha timing, or provide the contextual judgement that comes from decades of practice. A number is not a reading.
